Our Story

Some stories begin with a business plan. Ours began on a random summer day at the beach in 2023, lost in one of those "what if" conversations that somehow last for hours. Thats where Hébe quietly came to life (and yes, there's a story behind the name, we'll get there!)

I’ve loved jewelry for as long as I can remember. As a little girl, I always headed straight to the jewelry section, not because I wasn’t interested in clothes, but because jewelry never made me feel like I had to change anything about myself before I deserved to wear it. It didn’t care about my size. It didn’t ask me to fit into it. It was simply there, waiting for me to choose the pieces that felt like me.

So when Hébe was born, creating jewelry felt like the most natural thing in the world. We started with minimal gold jewelry,  timeless, simple designs that could become part of your everyday life. We experimented, learned as we went, and slowly discovered what felt right. But although we loved those pieces, something was still missing.  

Our very first collections. Minimal jewelry and timeless everyday pieces. I loved this aesthetic, but as Hébe grew, I realized I wanted to create something more personal, pieces that didn't just look beautiful, but told a story you couldn't find just anywhere.

 

Around the same time, something else was happening. I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan since I was a teenager, but as I grew older, I started understanding her music in a completely different way. The lyrics became more than lyrics, the albums became chapters of my own life. Certain songs reminded me of people, places, heartbreaks, friendships, and moments I never wanted to forget.

The Eras Tour had just begun. Watching thousands of people celebrate every era of their lives made us realize something; people weren't just wearing jewelry. They were wearing memories. Friendship bracelets became stories. Tiny charms became symbols. 

 And that was the moment everything changed for Hébe. Instead of asking ourselves, "What would look beautiful?" we started asking "What story could this piece tell?"

One year of Hébe. Every order that day included a friendship bracelet made especially for our first birthday. We bought the cake, but we made our Hébe monogram by hand out of fondant to place on top. I remember not liking it at all back then.  Today, when I look back at these photos, I don't see an imperfect cake. I see two people celebrating the first year of something they had built with so much love. And somehow, I think that's far more beautiful than perfection.

 

That's how our first Taylor inspired charms were born. Each one tied to a lyric, a hidden detail, a reference only Swfities would catch. Two people can wear the exact same necklace and it can mean something completely different to each of them. 

Taylor will probably always have a very special place in our hearts. She helped shape not only this brand, but also the way we see jewelry: not just as something beautiful to wear, but as something that can tell a story.

If there's one thing Swifties love, it's a good puzzle. So of course we had to create our own. We built a hidden page on our website with a countdown, and every order included a tiny clue: a Taylor Swift lyric, a sequence of numbers and a QR code. Piece by piece, they revealed our next collection, our very first friendship bracelets. It was our little way of turning a collection launch into something our community could discover together

 

Today, our inspiration goes far beyond one artist. Films, books, childhood memories and nostalgic little moments all become little pieces you can wear. Because every collection begins with the same question: What will this remind someone of?

Of course, none of it came easy. There were plently of sleepless nights and moments of doubt along the way. But building something from nothing changes you, little by little. Years ago, I probably would have rolled my eyes reading something like this. It sounded cliché, now I understand why people say it. Some things became clichés simply because so many people eventually experience them. 

If you're here reading this today whether you've been with us since the beginning or you've only just discovered Hébe... thank you. You've already become part of our story.

Before we go: the name. 

Photo 1: One piece of paper, countless sketches, and the very first idea of what Hébe could become. Before there was a logo, there was simply a dream taking shape by hand.

Photo 2: The day our first branded boxes arrived. Seeing our monogram printed for the first time made everything feel real. It's the mark you'll find on every package we send, a small reminder of the journey behind every order.

During those same conversations on the beach, we circling back to time: how fast it moves, how memories become more valuable than the moments themselves. That led us to Hébe (Ήβη), the Greek goddess of youth, who served the gods nectar said to keep them forever young.

Of course, we know it's only a myth. But maybe staying young isn't about never growing older. Maybe it's about never letting go of the moments that shaped us. The album that changed your life. The concert you'll remember forever. The necklace you slowly built, charm by charm, with each charm carrying a memory, a feeling, or a chapter of your story.

We can't stop time. But we can choose what we carry with us as it passes. That's what Hébe has always meant to us. Not eternal youth but memories that never stop feeling alive.
